HopeCentral

This month, we are thrilled to shine a spotlight on HopeCentral. Launched in 2014, HopeCentral is an enhanced, multi-disciplinary pediatric primary and behavioral care clinic serving families in the ethnically and economically diverse neighborhoods of South Seattle. Their relationship-based model, which includes longer, unhurried appointments, 24/7 access to physicians, and integrated behavioral health services, offers a vital, holistic healthcare resource in a chronically underserved area of King County.

We have recently had the privilege of working with HopeCentral on a capacity-building project and have witnessed firsthand the exceptional care and support the clinic provides to its patients, families, and community. They welcome all children and work closely with families to address their needs both inside and outside the exam room. In 2023, HopeCentral served over 1,300 children who face significant challenges in finding primary care providers in King County.

The team at HopeCentral excels in caring for children with neurodiversity and provides accessible, short-term treatment and support for behavioral health concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD and PTSD, as well as case management to help families navigate the myriad services involved in long-term therapy. 50% of their patients come from low-income backgrounds, face language barriers, or have inadequate access to basic services. The organization’s leadership reflects the community it serves, with half of the staff representing BIPOC and low-income groups.

With support from philanthropy, HopeCentral aims to enhance its services by adding additional provider, behavioral health, and patient navigation resources to better serve the community's needs.
