This month we are proud to spotlight the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue (BGCB), an organization that has been a steady source of support for youth and a bright spot in our community for over 70 years.

KidVantage
Formerly known as Eastside Baby Corner, KidVantage provides essential items like diapers, clothing, and school supplies to more than 10,000 children annually in King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties. Partnering with over 70 social service agencies, KidVantage ensures that families in need have the resources to thrive. Their model of community collaboration helps alleviate poverty’s impact on children.

HopeCentral
Hope Central is a family medicine and pediatric clinic in South Seattle focused on providing high-quality, faith-informed healthcare to underserved families. Their team serves over 1,000 patients annually, ensuring that children and families receive holistic, accessible care regardless of their ability to pay. By addressing physical, emotional, and social health, Hope Central builds healthier families and stronger communities.

Wellspring Family Services
Wellspring Family Services, is an organization that has been making a significant impact in our community for over 130 years. Since its inception, Wellspring has been dedicated to helping families overcome challenges and achieve stability. Their comprehensive approach focuses on providing critical services in housing, early learning, and overall stability, ensuring that families in crisis receive the support they need to thrive.

Families of Color Seattle
Families of Color Seattle (FOCS) builds community and connection for parents of color through workshops, playgroups, and advocacy programs. Engaging over 2,500 families annually, they advance racial equity and inclusion by creating spaces where families can share resources, support each other, and feel empowered. Their work fosters stronger, more inclusive communities where every family can thrive.

Rainier Scholars
Rainier Scholars believes every student deserves access to a transformative education, regardless of background. Their comprehensive program—covering academics, mental health, and career development—supports 630 scholars and their families each year. By removing barriers to college, they work to provide students of color with equal opportunities. 89% of eligible scholars graduate from 4-year colleges, and 97% of 2023 grads are employed or in graduate school.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound is dedicated to creating and supporting one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the biggest possible futures for youth. Serving over 2,000 children annually across King and Pierce counties, they carefully match youth with caring adult mentors to help them overcome challenges, succeed academically, and build brighter futures. Through consistent guidance and support, Big Brothers Big Sisters unlocks potential and creates lasting, positive change.

Hamlin Robinson
Hamlin Robinson School is a specialized independent school in Seattle that serves students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. Educating over 300 students annually from grades 1 through 12, the school provides individualized, multisensory instruction to help students achieve their full potential. Hamlin Robinson fosters confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning in its students, transforming lives and academic trajectories.

Zeno
Zeno was founded in 2003 by a group of parents who recognized the significance of math and the importance of nurturing a child's confidence in math early on through play. Their work was rooted in the belief that math could serve as an equalizer for children in disadvantaged communities. Initially, Zeno provided math programs to families from diverse racial and socio-economic backgrounds, offering reduced costs to schools primarily serving low-income children and families.

LifeWire
LifeWire's mission is to support survivors of domestic violence on their path towards safety, stability, and healing, while actively working to end domestic violence by challenging community beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors. They envision a community where every person can live in a safe environment, free from oppression, and have the opportunity to thrive.

Kindering
Kindering provides life-changing early intervention services for more than 6,000 children with developmental delays and disabilities annually. With campuses in Bellevue, Bothell, and Renton, they offer physical, occupational, and speech therapy, as well as family support programs. Kindering’s holistic approach ensures that children and families receive the care they need to succeed in school and life.

PEPS
Program for Early Parent Support (PEPS) connects thousands of new parents each year through small peer-support groups. With a focus on building community and sharing resources, PEPS empowers parents during the critical early years of parenting. Their programs create lasting friendships and stronger families across the Puget Sound region.

Encompass Northwest
Encompass Northwest provides vital early learning, pediatric therapy, and family support services to strengthen families and nurture child development. Serving over 1,200 children and families annually in the Snoqualmie Valley and greater Eastside regions, their compassionate team delivers personalized care that addresses developmental challenges and helps children achieve their full potential. By empowering families with the tools and resources they need, Encompass creates lasting impact across communities.

Westside Baby
Westside Baby works to meet the basic needs of children by providing essential items such as diapers, clothing, and car seats to families experiencing hardship. Serving thousands of children annually across King County, the organization collects donations from the community and distributes them through a network of social service partners. By ensuring that families have access to critical supplies, Westside Baby helps improve the health, safety, and well-being of young children. Their mission is rooted in dignity, recognizing that no child should go without the essentials they need to thrive.

Denise Louise Education Center
The Denise Louise Education Center provides high-quality early childhood education to low-income families in King County. Their programs serve over 200 children annually, offering nurturing environments that promote school readiness and social-emotional growth. The center helps children build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Sammamish Animal Sanctuary
Sammamish Animal Sanctuary provides a safe haven for rescued farm animals and offers educational experiences to the local community. Visitors, including thousands of children annually, learn about animal care, empathy, and environmental stewardship. The sanctuary promotes kindness and respect for all living beings.

Hearing, Speech, and Deaf Center
The Hearing, Speech, and Deaf Center (HSDC) provides comprehensive services to more than 4,500 individuals annually in the Puget Sound region. They offer audiology services, speech therapy, and Deaf and Hard of Hearing advocacy programs, promoting inclusion and communication access for people of all ages. HSDC’s work empowers individuals to connect, learn, and thrive in their communities.

Vine Maple Place
Vine Maple Place supports over 400 families annually in King County by providing housing stability, job training, and life skills for single parents and their children. Their holistic programs prevent homelessness and foster lasting self-sufficiency. Vine Maple Place creates pathways to brighter, more stable futures.

ZGiRLS
ZGiRLS empowers young girls through mentorship and skill-building programs that foster confidence, resilience, and leadership. Originally founded by female athletes, the organization helps girls develop a strong mindset to navigate challenges in sports and life. Through workshops, coaching, and peer support, ZGiRLS provides the tools needed for goal setting, self-belief, and mental toughness. By creating a supportive environment, they inspire young girls to embrace their potential and pursue their passions fearlessly.
