Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center
Since its inception in 1976, Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center has been dedicated to harnessing the transformative power of equine-assisted services to enrich the lives of people of all ages. Founded upon a deep belief in the transformative power of horses to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities, Little Bit started as a grassroots organization operating out of a small stable with a handful of riders and over the decades has blossomed into one of the premier therapeutic riding centers in the country, serving over 500 participants each year.
At Little Bit, the bond between humans and horses is harnessed to facilitate remarkable outcomes. Through a range of specialized programs and services for people with disabilities including Therapy (physical, occupational, and speech-language therapy), Adaptive Riding (riding lessons), Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy, Equine-Assisted Learning, and Summer Camps, Little Bit empowers individuals with disabilities to reach their full potential.
What sets Little Bit apart is its unwavering dedication to inclusivity, excellence, and the transformative power of the human-horse connection. By creating a supportive and welcoming environment where individuals of all abilities are embraced and empowered, Little Bit fosters a sense of belonging and possibility. Moreover, Little Bit's commitment to professionalism and innovation ensures that its programs are of the highest quality and effectiveness.
